Rotary Tunari tiene a su cargo un gran número de proyectos de ayuda a grupos necesitados. Uno de estos proyectos es "Solidaridad con los Niños de la Calle"

Este proyecto ampara aproximadamente a 180 niños necesitados, cuyas necesidades  son innumerables.

Rotary Tunari  invitó a su club hermano, Rotary Glenhaven en Sydney, a unir esfuerzos para este proyecto y también pidió asistencia económica para cubrir algunos gastos de las necesidades del centro.

Como respuesta y aceptando este pedido, Rotary Glenhaven preparó un evento de recaudación de fondos “Noche Boliviana” como primer paso a un compromiso de  ayuda económica a Rotary Tunari para este proyecto en particular.

El evento dió como resultado una suma de         $ Aus 2,090 de ganancia.

Rotary Glenhaven con una visión futurística, ve la necesidad de ampliar este proyecto.

Esta visión incluye la creación de talleres de enseñanza de cocina, repostería, artes manuales, etc

Desafortunadamente el Centro no cuenta con las condiciones necesarias para realizar el proyecto a este nivel y serán necesarias mayores sumas de dinero para poder equipar la cocina, las aulas, los talleres y proporcionar un espacio gimnástico / deportivo.

Rotary Internacional ofrece la posibilidad de un “Matching Grant” del 50% del monto recaudado por el club iniciante.

Para este efecto, se decidió organizar una función llamada “Bolivia En Concierto”(3 Mayo 2008) y  poder ayudar a elevar el monto total requerido  para solicitar el “Matching Grant” y de esa manera aportar a esta causa justa.

Rotary Tunari has a good number of projects to help people in need.  One of these is “Solidarity with Street Kids.”

Through this project approximately 180 children, whose needs are numerous, are given shelter and protection.

Rotary Tunari invited its sister club, Rotary Glenhaven in Sydney, to join forces with this project and has also asked for economical assistance to cover some of the expenses of the centre. 

Glenhaven Rotary Club accepted the invitation and initiated a fund raiser “Bolivian Night” as the first step in their economical contribution to their sister Rotary Club.

This event made a profit of $Aus 2,090.

With a vision for the future, Rotary Glenhaven has seen the need to expand this project.

This vision includes the creation of cooking workshops, a bakery, crafts, etc.

Unfortunately, the Centre does not have the necessary conditions to carry the project forward to this level and larger sums of money will be necessary in order to fully equip the kitchen, the classrooms, the workshops; as well as to provide space for gymnastics and sports.

Rotary International offers the possibility of a “Matching Grant” of 50% of the total amount raised by the initiating Rotary club.

Representatives of some Bolivian folkloric dance groups and musical bands wish to support this cause and have organised a function called “Bolivia In Concert” (3 May 2008).

Funds raised at the concert will assist in the application for the “Matching Grant” from Rotary International.
